Where can I check the NEET 2026 result?
The NEET 2026 result will be available at the official NTA portal: neet.nta.nic.in. You will need your Application Number, Date of Birth, and Security PIN to log in and download your scorecard.
What details are shown on the NEET 2026 scorecard?
The NEET 2026 scorecard includes your name, roll number, application number, date of birth, category, subject-wise marks (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), total marks out of 720, percentile score, All India Rank (AIR), category rank, AIQ rank, and qualifying status.
What is the qualifying cutoff for NEET 2026?
The qualifying percentile is fixed: 50th percentile for General/UR category, 45th percentile for General-PwD, and 40th percentile for OBC, SC, ST, and PwD candidates. The exact qualifying marks in score will be declared by NTA along with the result. In 2025, the General qualifying cutoff was 162 marks.
How many candidates appeared for NEET 2026?
22.79 lakh (22,79,000) candidates registered for NEET UG 2026. Approximately 22 lakh appeared for the Re NEET held on June 21, 2026, after the original May 3 exam was cancelled due to a paper leak.
Can I request re-evaluation of my NEET 2026 result?
No. NTA does not permit re-evaluation or re-checking of NEET answer sheets. The result declared by NTA is final. However, candidates could challenge the provisional answer key during the objection window (before results are declared) by paying ₹200 per question.
How are tie-breaking ranks decided in NEET 2026?
If two candidates score identical marks, NTA applies these criteria in order: (1) Higher Biology marks, (2) Higher Chemistry marks, (3) Higher Physics marks, (4) Fewer incorrect answers overall, (5–7) Fewer incorrect answers subject-wise. If still tied, a random draw under an expert committee is used.
What happens after the NEET 2026 result is declared?
Qualified candidates become eligible for counselling. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts AIQ counselling for 15% All India Quota seats at mcc.nic.in. State counselling authorities manage the remaining 85% state quota seats. MCC counselling is expected to begin in the last week of August 2026 (tentative).

The NEET 2026 scorecard is valid for admission in the 2026–27 academic session only. For students seeking MBBS admission abroad, the score is typically valid for 3 years.
