NEET UG 2026 Scorecard Structure & Details
Understand each field printed on your official NEET scorecard, including percentile scores, rank indices, and qualifying parameters.
Inside Your NEET 2026 Scorecard
The scorecard is the single document that verifies your exam performance. It is split into three primary categories: Personal Information, Subject Performance, and All India Rank metrics.
1. Candidate Credentials
Contains candidate name, roll number, application number, parent names, date of birth, gender, category, and state of eligibility. Always verify this info immediately upon download to check for spelling errors.
2. Marks & Percentiles
NTA lists your subject-wise percentiles for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany + Zoology) alongside your overall marks out of 720 and the aggregate percentile score. Percentile indicates the proportion of candidates who scored below you.
3. Rank Indices
Includes your **All India Rank (AIR)**, which dictates your position nationwide, **Category Rank** (for reservation parameters), and **15% All India Quota (AIQ) Rank** used during central counselling.
4. Qualifying Parameters
Displays the category-wise qualifying thresholds (percentile & score) and flags whether your score meets the minimum qualification to participate in the counselling rounds.
How NTA Resolves Tied Scores (Tie-Breaker Rules)
With over 22 lakh candidates, ties are common. If two or more students secure identical marks, NTA applies the following official resolution hierarchy to assign unique ranks:
- Biology Marks: Candidate with higher marks in Biology (Botany + Zoology) is ranked higher.
- Chemistry Marks: Candidate with higher Chemistry marks gets preference.
- Physics Marks: Candidate with higher Physics marks is ranked higher.
- Fewer Mistakes: Candidate with lower ratio of incorrect answers to correct answers overall.
- Fewer Mistakes in Biology: Lower ratio of incorrect answers in Biology.
- Fewer Mistakes in Chemistry: Lower ratio of incorrect answers in Chemistry.
- Fewer Mistakes in Physics: Lower ratio of incorrect answers in Physics.
- Expert Committee: Random draw by an independent committee.
